Is Debitura a debt collection agency?
No. Debitura is a technology platform. Licensed local collection agencies and law firms in our network do the collection, under one agreement with us. You confirm each case, follow it in the platform and talk to your partner directly.
What does it cost?
Nothing upfront: no setup fee and no subscription. When money is recovered, you pay a success fee from 6% in Europe and from 7.5% internationally, depending on the amount. Claims more than 12 months overdue cost more. Nothing recovered, nothing to pay.
How long does it take?
For European cases, the median time to first payment is 33 days and the median time to close a case is 44 days. It depends on the country, the debtor and the claim.
Do you collect from businesses and consumers?
Yes. We collect from both businesses (B2B) and consumers (B2C).
What if the debtor still doesn't pay?
Your local partner can recommend legal action. You get a quote in the platform, reviewing it is free, and nothing starts unless you accept it.
What is your success rate?
It depends on the country, how old the claim is, the amount and whether the debt is disputed, so a single number would mislead you. Our guide explains what affects recovery, with data by region.
How do you choose my partner?
We match your case to a vetted local partner in the debtor's country, based on the type of debtor, the claim and how partners perform on our platform. You don't pick from a list. Before a partner joins, we check their license and registration and verify who they are; after that, we follow their results. Partners must resolve open tasks within 48 business hours. If a complaint is upheld, you can close the case at no cost, or we can move it to another partner.
How do you protect my data?
We process your data under the GDPR and our data processing agreement. You can see how we protect data and which sub-processors we use on our data protection page.
